For the Pasta Base:
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
For the Meat Sauce:
- 1 lb halal ground beef or turkey
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (24 oz) jar halal marinara sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Topping:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Spaghetti
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture
- In a large bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the cooked spaghetti and toss to coat evenly in the creamy mixture.
Step 3: Make the Meat Sauce
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef or turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
- Add the onions and garlic and sauté until softened.
- Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 5–7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Step 4: Assemble the Casserole
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread half of the meat sauce on the bottom of the dish.
- Add the creamy spaghetti layer, spreading it evenly.
- Pour the remaining meat sauce over the spaghetti.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese.
Step 5: Bake the Casserole
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot!
