Scale
For the Ranch Chicken
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs (halal-certified)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- 3 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional, for color)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional Toppings
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or chives
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Prepare the Chicken
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels to help the seasoning stick better. Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
Step 3: Season the Chicken
- Drizzle olive oil or melted butter over the chicken, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.
- In a small bowl, combine the ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika (if using), salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken.
Step 4: Bake the Chicken
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for another 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part.
Step 5: Add Optional Toppings
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken during the last 5 minutes of baking. Let it melt and bubble for a cheesy finish.
Step 6: Rest and Serve
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives, if desired, for a pop of color and freshness.
