Ingredients
Scale
For the Steak Bites
- 1 1/2 pounds halal-certified beef sirloin or ribeye, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Garlic Butter
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Pinch of red chili flakes (optional, for heat)
Optional Garnishes
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon wedges
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Steak
- Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
- In a large bowl, toss the steak cubes with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Step 2: Sear the Steak Bites
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and let it heat until shimmering.
- Working in batches to avoid overcrowding, add the steak cubes in a single layer. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter.
- Once melted, stir in the minced garlic, smoked paprika, and chili flakes (if using). Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the garlic is fragrant and golden.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter to coat evenly.
Step 4: Garnish and Serve
- Transfer the steak bites to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice, if desired.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
