For the Cajun Seasoning:
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Shrimp:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
For the Steak:
- 1 1/2 pounds ribeye or sirloin steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Cajun Seasoning
- In a small bowl, mix the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
- Set the seasoning blend aside.
Step 2: Season the Shrimp and Steak
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and toss them in olive oil and Cajun seasoning.
- Pat the steak dry and rub with olive oil and Cajun seasoning on all sides. Let both sit for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Step 3: Sear the Steak
- Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and let it melt.
- Sear the steak for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness (use a meat thermometer: 135°F for medium-rare, 145°F for medium).
- Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Cook the Shrimp
- In the same skillet, add a bit more olive oil if needed.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 5: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the parsley and lemon juice. Drizzle the sauce over the shrimp and steak.
Step 6: Assemble and Serve
- Arrange the steak and shrimp on a platter, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
- Serve with your chosen sides for a complete Cajun-inspired feast.
