  • Author: Amelia
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (68 ounces each, skin removed)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional, for color)

For the Crab and Shrimp Stuffing:

  • 1/2 cup cooked crab meat, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup cooked shrimp, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

For Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

Step 2: Prepare the Salmon

  1. Place the salmon fillets on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, make a pocket in the center of each fillet by slicing horizontally, being careful not to cut all the way through.

Step 3: Make the Stuffing

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, shrimp, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, parsley, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Step 4: Stuff the Salmon

  1. Spoon the crab and shrimp mixture into each salmon fillet pocket, packing it gently but firmly. Be generous with the stuffing to ensure each bite is flavorful.

Step 5: Season and Arrange

  1. Transfer the stuffed salmon fillets to the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and paprika for added flavor and color.

Step 6: Bake the Salmon

  1. Bake the stuffed salmon in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Step 7: Serve

  1. Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges for an extra burst of freshness.
