Nacho Cheese Beef Wrap

  • Author: Amelia
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 wraps 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños (optional, for spice)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Ground Beef

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the ground beef and cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking it up into small crumbles with a wooden spoon. Once the beef is fully browned, drain any excess grease.

Step 2: Add the Taco Seasoning

Return the skillet to the heat and sprinkle the taco seasoning over the beef. Pour in 1/2 cup of water, stir well, and let it simmer for 3–5 minutes until the liquid reduces and the beef is coated in a rich, flavorful sauce. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 3: Warm the Tortillas

Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet over low heat for about 30 seconds per side or microwave them for 15 seconds each. This makes the tortillas pliable and easier to wrap.

Step 4: Assemble the Wraps

Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Start by spreading a generous layer of nacho cheese sauce in the center. Add a portion of the seasoned ground beef, followed by shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, black olives, shredded cheddar cheese, and pickled jalapeños, if desired. Finish with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of green onions.

Step 5: Wrap It Up

Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to create a wrap. For extra security, you can wrap the bottom half in parchment paper or foil, especially if serving to-go.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

Serve the Nacho Cheese Beef Wraps immediately while warm. Pair with a side of tortilla chips, guacamole, or salsa for a complete Tex-Mex meal.
