Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Cucumber Base
- Wash and dry the cucumber thoroughly.
- Slice the cucumber into rounds approximately 1/4-inch thick. Arrange them in a single layer on a serving platter.
Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Spread
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), lemon juice, chopped dill, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Use a whisk or hand mixer to blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
Step 3: Assemble the Snacks
- Spread a dollop of the cream cheese mixture onto each cucumber slice using a spoon or piping bag for a neat presentation.
- Roll or fold a small piece of smoked salmon and place it on top of the cream cheese spread.
Step 4: Garnish and Serve
- Garnish each snack with a small sprig of fresh dill or a sprinkle of chopped chives.
- Serve immediately, or cover the platter with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 1 hour before serving.
